Born of Osiris – A Mind Short Circuiting

Following the release of “Torchbearer,” “A Mind Short Circuiting” arrived as the band's first single since their 2021 album Angel or Alien. Framed by lyrical themes of emotional and mental chaos and completed by heavy instrumentation, the electrifying single marked a new era for Born of Osiris. Its outro features electronic elements with a MIDI drum kit, adding to the robotic core.

The band spoke on the single, revealing, “‘A Mind Short Circuiting’ embodies the essence of our roots. The combination of ethereal melodies with down-tuned guitars has helped inspire lyrics that evoke darker emotions. We are sure that our OG fans will appreciate this one.”

The visualizer’s color scheme is strictly black, white, and yellow. It depicts a human-like figure in a world filled with futuristic elements, often holding a floating cube with glowing yellow pieces that appear to be circuits. As time progresses, the top of the figure's head lifts, revealing the same yellow circuits underneath.

“A Mind Short Circuiting” built mass anticipation for their 2025 album, Through Shadows. The album has received praise from many publications.
