After the Burial – Hum From The Hollow (Official Visualizer)
On Friday, July 11, 2025, the Minneapolis prog-metal powerhouse returned with their first single in over two years. “Hum From The Hollow” incorporates both lyrical depth and the band's signature eight-string guitar work. The lyrics explore dark psychological themes with lyrics such as “I've been feeling like / There's a sickness in my design / A dead reckoning / that keeps dragging me side to side to side.” With the track's existential dread also comes anger and fury, perfectly showcased by the heavy instrumentation.
Founding guitarist Trent Hafdahl stated, “This song is one of many from the new album that have the same theme: pissed off. Sometimes you have to strip it all down and give the fans something to let their anger out to, so that’s what we did here.”
The song's visualizer showcases a The Blair Witch Project-like atmosphere. It cycles between a shaky camera running through the woods at night and “ATB” built in sticks. The unique, intense, and frightening video perfectly captures the song's themes of fury regarding the human condition and mortality.
