Oceano – Mass Produced

After releasing their fifth studio album in 2017, fans were left hungry for new material for close to five years. On August 16, 2022, they ended their silence with a brutal new track: “Mass Produced.” While the lyrics aren’t easily decipherable through Adam Warren's brutal vocal delivery, they detail corruption and ignorance. As the track turns to a bouncy breakdown that calls for headbanging, Warren ends the song with “sewing lies to manifest their motive & views / The eye of Ra now turns and judges you / denial and ignorance / sowing lies to manifest / the world doesn’t need you.”

Warren spoke on the release, stating, “As we unleash ‘Mass Produced,’ it signifies a new chapter for Oceano. I’m very excited for Oceano fans everywhere to enjoy this song and video. To all the die-hards who connect with this band, thank you for your excitement. We have so much more to share with you on this journey. I’m fired up!”

The track was mixed and mastered by Joey Sturgis, who also produced the band’s 2009 album Depths. It features a music video directed by Tim Burton of TimburMedia, where Warren is depicted in an empty office and a church. There, it is revealed that the other church-goers all have wires piercing the backs of their necks.

“Wounds Never Healed” followed after “Mass Produced,” this time coupled with the announcement of their sixth and final studio album, Living Chaos. It arrived on August 30, 2024, via Sumerian Records and gained acclaim from critics and deathcore fanatics worldwide.
